At Adorable Maine Coon, we are committed to ensuring a smooth and responsible adoption experience for every buyer. Because of the nature of live animal adoption and the care involved in raising each kitten, we have specific guidelines regarding deposits, cancellations, and refunds.
Please read our Refund Policy carefully before reserving or purchasing a kitten.
🔒 Reservation Deposits – Non-Refundable
To reserve a kitten, we require a non-refundable deposit. This deposit:

Confirms your commitment to adopt the selected kitten

Removes the kitten from our available listings

Covers care and reservation costs
💡 Why it’s non-refundable: Once a kitten is reserved, we commit time, care, and resources toward preparing that kitten for your home. This includes veterinary visits, nutrition, and socialization.
🔁 Balance Payments
The remaining balance (after deposit) is due before delivery or pickup. We accept payments via cash, bank transfer, or other secure methods agreed upon in advance.
❌ Order Cancellations
You may cancel your reservation at any time; however:

The initial deposit is non-refundable

If cancellation occurs within 7 days of scheduled pickup/delivery, any additional payments made are non-refundable, as preparation and transportation arrangements have already been made
🏥 Health-Related Refunds or Replacements
We offer a Health Guarantee (outlined on our Health Guarantee page) that protects against genetic or life-threatening health conditions.
If your veterinarian discovers a serious illness or hereditary defect within the guaranteed time period, and proper documentation is provided:

We will offer a replacement kitten of equal value (based on availability), or

Provide a partial or full refund at our discretion, depending on the specific case
⚠️ Note: Refunds or replacements are not provided for minor, treatable conditions or issues resulting from improper care after the kitten leaves our home.
🚚 Delivery Fee Refunds
All delivery fees are non-refundable once scheduled, as we reserve third-party transport or flight nanny services on your behalf.
